He possesses extensive experience in legislative affairs, party leadership, and international relations.

Dr. Hatoyama holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Tokyo and earned a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. Before entering politics, he served as an Assistant Professor at Senshu University, building a strong foundation in education and research.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hatoyama served as a Member of the House of Representatives from 1986 to 2012, beginning with the Liberal Democratic Party before becoming a leading advocate for reform.
